The Objective
For LACMA’s Art Basel Party 2019, The Mills was transformed into an imaginary vessel for 1200 A-list guests. Following previous editions hosted by Dino Sadhwani and Princess Alia Al-Senuss for the Los Angeles Museum of County Art, it was the most anticipated event of Art Week. The 2019 edition was sponsored by MGM resorts, enhancing the spectacle. Inspired by “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Vernes, a narrative was created for guests to visit different cultures at different times. The immersive theatrical experience consisted of eight crew members who led guests through wonderous journeys.
